MeasureLINK-MCS application packages
MeasureLINK ML-MCS software uses application packs to extend the base functionality of the program by adding additional instrument drivers, scripts, examples, and documentation related to a specific task. For instance, our field platform application pack includes a collection of Lake Shore power supply and magnetic field controller drivers that enable simple field control applications. Grouping these packs by application permits each user to customize MeasureLINK for their own application, without burdening the system with unneeded functionality.

Standard application packs

The temperature app pack adds temperature control to MeasureLINK via two different 336 drivers. The standard 336 driver permits full configuration and parameter specification of the 336 for cryogenic temperature monitoring and control applications. The “336 Basic” driver permits users to interact with a preconfigured 336. This is most useful for changing the control parameters (e.g., setpoint) and reading monitor outputs without requiring a full specified configuration. Scripts are provided for ramping temperature.

The electrical app pack provides access to the M81-SSM, including drivers for the instrument and all source and measure modules. This pack also includes drag-and-drop sequence steps to sweep voltage or current outputs and make associated AC and DC electrical measurements. Supports synchronous measurement and streaming measurement modes to allow complete configuration of the electrical data collection.

The FastHall app pack adds the M91 FastHall™ measurement controller to MeasureLINK. This includes the M91 instrument driver and scripts for completing Hall analysis. The permanent magnet driver is also included to support the FastHall Station tabletop Hall measurement system. These scripts also support electromagnet and superconducting Hall measurements by downloading the field platform application pack.
The third-party instruments app pack adds support for some third-party instruments to MeasureLINK. These drivers seamlessly integrate source and measure instruments, including looping functionality. Supported instruments include KI 2182/2182A, KI 2400, KI 6220/6221, KI 6487, and a permanent magnet driver.
Specialized application packs

The QD MultiVu app pack enables MeasureLINK to communicate directly with the Quantum Design PPMS MultiVu software, permitting MeasureLINK to set and read both the field and the temperature of the PPMS. MultiVu connectivity is not included in the purchase of MeasureLINK. That application pack (ML-AP-MULTIVU) can be purchased separately by contacting sales@lakeshore.com.

The Instec application pack enables MeasureLINK to communicate directly with the Instec mK2000B temperature controller, permitting MeasureLINK to set and read the temperature of the mK2000B. The Instec application pack is not included in the purchase of MeasureLINK. This application pack (ML-AP-INSTEC) can be purchased separately by contacting sales@lakeshore.com.

The Oxford Instruments application pack enables MeasureLINK to communicate directly with the Oxford Instruments MercuryiTC temperature controller, permitting MeasureLINK to set and read the temperature of the MercuryiTC controller. The Oxford Instruments application pack is not included in the purchase of MeasureLINK. This application pack (ML-AP-OIMERC) can be purchased separately by contacting sales@lakeshore.com.
